Natsumi Kuboyana

Based in Romania and Japan, she performs solo recitals and appears with orchestras around the world.

In 1998, at the age of six, she gave her first international concert in Moscow.

In 2001, she won First Prize at the “Hummel” Competition in Slovakia, and in 2003 she won First Prize at the “Steinway” Competition in Paris.

From the age of 12, she actively engaged in charitable projects in Japan, performing fundraising concerts for victims of Chernobyl, building a school for underprivileged children in Peru, and landmine removal in Cambodia. For these volunteer activities, she was awarded the “Violet Richardson” distinction.

In 2009, she won Second Prize at the “Steinway” Competition in Berlin, and in the same year she performed in New York.

In 2015, she graduated as valedictorian from the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, one of Japan’s most prestigious music institutions. On that occasion, she gave her graduation concert at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

In 2017 and 2018, she performed concerts in South Korea, China, and Singapore.

She was awarded the Teacher’s Prize at the PTNA competition and the Chopin International Competition in Asia, held in Japan.

In 2021 and 2022, she recorded her first CDs.

In 2023, she was chosen as the official ambassador for Shigeru Kawai pianos and the ANchante dress brand.
