Adriana Dogariu
Pianist Adriana Dogariu completed her musical training at the National University of Music in Bucharest, then at the Faculty of Music of the West University of Timișoara, studying with renowned professors such as Dana Borșan and Dragoș Mihăilescu. She attended performance masterclasses with Gabriel Amiras, Andrei Gavrilov, Jean Francois Antoniolli, and Gerard Fremy. In 2010, Adriana Dogariu earned her PhD at the National University of Music in Bucharest, choosing as her topic the musical literature for two pianos—a genre in which she has pursued extensive concert activity alongside pianist Sorin Dogariu.
She is a laureate of several national competitions and of the International Competition “Remember Enescu” (Bucharest – 1999). She has given recitals in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Republic of Moldova, and in Romania, as well as concerts as a soloist with the Timișoara and Arad Philharmonic Orchestras. She recorded three CDs (released in 2012 and 2013 in Romania and Germany) together with pianist Sorin Dogariu and tubist Walter Hilgers. Her solo and chamber appearances include musicians such as Alexandra Guțu, Janos Balint, Răzvan Suma, Alexandra Crișan, Walter Hilgers, Marie Isabel Kropfitsch, Emil Sein, Cristian Miclea, etc.
Adriana Dogariu is an Associate Professor in the piano department of the Faculty of Music and Theatre at the West University of Timișoara, where she coordinates two important programs: Panoramic XX and Music at 12 o’clock. She gives masterclasses and is invited to serve on competition juries. In 2005, for a period of three months, Adriana Dogariu was invited to mentor a piano performance class at the AHN Studio on Jejudo Island, South Korea.
