Prof. Dr. M\u0103d\u0103lina Dorgo, head of the piano department at the “Ion Vidu” Art High School in Timi\u0219oara, Romania, jury member at national and international piano competitions, is a pianist with recitals in Romania (Timi\u0219oara, Arad, Oradea, Cluj-Napoca, Bra\u0219ov, Sebe\u0219, Cernica, T\u00e2rgu-Mure\u0219, Deva, Bucharest) and abroad (Hungary (Budapest), Denmark (Copenhagen, Roskilde, Rodovre), Slovenia (Celje), Germany (Leipzig, Weimar, Friedensau)).<\/p>\n
With over 20 years of teaching experience, her achievements include over 300 student awards at national and international piano competitions and over 150 student concerts and recitals on national and international concert stages.<\/p>\n
A graduate of the “Ion Vidu” National College of Arts in Timi\u0219oara, with a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Music, West University of Timi\u0219oara, specialization in Instrumental Performance \u2013 Piano, followed by doctoral studies. Doctor of Music, with the thesis Emotion, Emotionality and Stage Fright in Musical Performance, at the “Gh. Dima” Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Dima” in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.<\/p>\n
Enrolled in postdoctoral studies, researcher at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece, she continues to seek the right answer to the questions “How can I understand my emotions? How much do I let them control my artistic act? When is too much actually… too much, and how can we be on stage without stage fright? Because music and art are about beauty. About the joy of being on stage and in the audience.<\/p>\n
Among her numerous publications, you can find books, articles, award-winning research and original works, not only on the topic of Stage Fright, but also on e-learning, children’s music education, the integration of Roma children in the educational system, early childhood music education or other disciplines.<\/p>\n
Invited as a lecturer on the topic of Stage Fright at universities and conservatories in Greece, she continues her research, involving students, artists and teachers from Spain, Italy, Finland, Germany, Hungary. Greece, Turkey, France, Romania, the United Kingdom and Denmark.<\/p>\n
Invited as a jury member at national and international piano competitions, she is actively involved in Erasmus+, Leonardo Da Vinci and POSDRU projects, serving as tutor, teaching practice coordinator for students of the Faculty of Music, Music specialization, Artistic Director of the “TimorgelFest” International Festival, Artistic Director of the “Baroque in Contemporary Situations” International Festival and Project Manager at the “Alma Cornea Ionescu” International Piano Festival and Competition.<\/p>\n
