Du\u0161an Suton was born on December 14, 1989, in Ni\u0161, Serbia. He completed his primary and music high school education in Ni\u0161, Serbia, in the class of Prof. Spomenka \u0160piri\u0107. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Arts in Ni\u0161, in the class of the eminent pianist, Prof. Aleksandar Serdar (Serbia\/Slovenia), and his Master’s studies in the class of Prof. Dragloslav A\u0107imovi\u0107 (Serbia).<\/p>\n
During his studies, he participated in numerous international and national competitions in Ni\u0161, \u0160abac, and Belgrade, winning awards. For many consecutive years, he actively participated in masterclasses led by the eminent pianist Boris Kraljevi\u0107 (Montenegro\/Singapore). During his studies, he frequently performed concerts at the Faculty of Arts in Ni\u0161, as part of the faculty’s concert season, both as a soloist and a chamber musician. He also performed as a member of the piano duo “Appassionato,” and later, under the name “Suton piano duo,” he gave concerts in cities across Serbia (Ni\u0161, Belgrade, Zaje\u010dar, Kraljevo, Vrnja\u010dka Banja, Aleksinac), Slovenia (Celje), and Italy (Valenzano, Adelfia). As part of his piano duo, he also won numerous awards at competitions, among which the most significant are prizes at the “World Grand Prix International Contest” – Great Britain, “Debussy International Music Competition,” “Royal Mass Competition” – Netherlands, “Erik Satie Piano Competition,” “Paris Piano Competition” – France, “Bach International Piano Competition,” “Gabriel Faur\u00e9 International Piano Competition,” and “Ankara International Competition.”<\/p>\n

He began his pedagogical career in 2014 as a piano teacher at the “Predrag Milo\u0161evi\u0107” elementary music school in Knja\u017eevac, Serbia, where he currently works. His students have been laureates of numerous competitions and have won over two hundred awards in competitions in Serbia and abroad. Among the most important are first prizes at the Republic Competition of Serbia, the Republic Festival of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia, the “Davorin Jenko” International Competition in Belgrade, “Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte” in the Czech Republic, the “Ivan Rijavec” and “Glasbena \u010dipka” International Competitions in Slovenia, the “Danubia Talents” International Competition in Hungary, the “Bitola Pianofest” International Competition in North Macedonia, the “Primavera” International Festival and the “Sergei Rachmaninoff” International Competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in both solo piano and piano duo categories. Du\u0161an Suton’s students have performed concerts in cities in Serbia, Italy, and Slovenia, and have appeared on national television in Serbia.<\/p>\n
He has received numerous awards for outstanding pedagogical achievements, such as the most awarded teacher prize from the Municipality of Knja\u017eevac for many consecutive years, the best teacher award at Bitola Pianofest 2024 (North Macedonia), etc.<\/p>\n
